MoH's delegation visits Sultanate of Oman

Muscat, Dec. 29 (BNA): A delegation led by Ministry of Health (MoH)'s Undersecretary, Dr. Ayesha Mubarak Bu Enq, visited the Sultanate of Oman's Health Ministry. The visit was intended to familiarise with, and benefit from, the Sultanate's expertise in management and control of strategic inventory of medicines and medical supplies and wise consumption of medicines as well as boosting the cooperation in medical and health areas that serve the interest of both countries. The delegation met the Omani Health Ministry's Undersecretary for Health Affairs, Dr. Mohammed bin Saif Al-Hosani, and discussed areas of boosting cooperation in medical and health fields and means of developing the cooperation that serves the interest of both countries. The delegation visited the Omani Directorate of Medical Supplies and met several officials who briefed the delegation about the Sultanate's experience and expertise in medical supplies and strategic inventories and administrative management as well as the technical programmes and policies applicable in management of medical inventories. The delegation visited the strategic inventory headquarters and were briefed about the process of inventories management and control. Also, the delegation visited the directorate of rationalization on consumption of medicines and met the officials there. The delegation was also familiarised with the Omani expertise and experience regarding the wise consumption of medical supplies and the criteria of its usage, administrative systems, research studies, awareness programmes, and the vital signs of usage of medicines and patients' safety,
