Foreign Minister meets with Arab League Secretary General

Cairo, Dec. 24 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa met the Arab League Secretary General Dr. Nabil Al Arabi, on the sidelines of the ministerial meeting of the Arab League Council in its extraordinary session at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo today. The minister hailed the great efforts exerted by Dr. Al Arabi in further underpinning pan-Arab work and cooperation to face various threats and challenges, safeguard the Arab interests, promote regional security and stability and achieve people's aspirations for progress and prosperity. Dr. Al Arabi lauded the key constructive role of Bahrain for the sake of regional security and stability and its keenness on developing joint Arab action in all domains. He wished Bahrain constant progress and prosperity. Main Arab issues tabled for discussion in the ministerial meeting were reviewed.
