RCA medics get ready for humanitarian access to Gaza
Abu Dhabi, Jan 7, 2009 (WAM) - Two units of medics and Para-medics set up by the UAE Red Crescent Authority (RCA) is waiting for humanitarian access to Gaza to provide necessary treatment for Palestinian children targeted by the Israeli army.
RCA units are ready with all necessary equipments and medicines to save the lives of those who have been seriously wounded in the bombardment and artillery attacks by Israeli forces. RCA is coordinating with the UNICEF to carry out the humanitarian operations in Gaza.
Secretary General of the RCA Ahmed Yusuf Al Suwaidi said that the two units are set up especially for children as the children are the most affected victims of the Israeli brutality.
RCA has made agreements with UNICEF to adequately equip the two units and help them to be on ground in Gaza. The units are expected to enter Gaza in the coming days, Al-Suwaidi added.
