Crown prince attends Isa Royal Military Academy graduation ceremony, praises work of the BDF

Manama, Dec. 22 (BNA): On behalf of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, today attended the Isa Royal Military College's ceremony to mark the 11th graduating class of officer cadets – the Alqadisya Brigade – and the 21st batch of candidate officers.
Upon his arrival, His Royal Highness was welcomed by Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander in Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF); His Highness Lieutenant-General Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, National Guard Commander; Lieutenant-General Yousif bin Ahmed Al Jalahma, Minister of Defence Affairs; Lieutenant-General Theyab bin Saqer Al Noaimi, Chief of Staff; His Highness Brigadier Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Commander of the Royal Guard; His Highness Major Shaikh Khaled bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Commander of the Royal Guard Special Forces; and a number of senior BDF officers.
During the ceremony, His Royal Highness stressed that the Kingdom of Bahrain is fully capable of protecting its sovereignty and national security due to the country's dedicated armed forces and loyal people. His Royal Highness further added that Bahrain is committed to the region’s security and stability as part of its responsibility to uphold GCC, Arab and Islamic unity.
His Royal Highness praised the combat performance of BDF armed forces and highlighted their significant contribution to the improvement of security and stability within the region. In this regard, His Royal Highness highlighted the success of the Isa Royal Military College’s training, which has consistently produced officers able to fulfill their duties and serve the Kingdom on all fronts. His Royal Highness further highlighted His Majesty King Hamad’s continued support to the College, and His Majesty’s recognition of its role in protecting the Kingdom’s stability and development.
His Royal Highness then offered his congratulations to the commissioning officer cadets and highlighted their commitment to protecting the achievements of the Kingdom, which remains an integral component of supporting His Majesty’s programme of reform and sustainable development.
His Royal Highness also extended his appreciation to the Commandant of Isa Royal Military College and the College’s staff for their hard work and contributions to successful educational, training and development courses.
His Royal Highness inspected the officer-cadet’s parade before the commencement of the commissioning parade. Following the parade, Brigadier Isa Jassim Al-Olaywi, Commander of the Isa Royal Military College, addressed the audience and expressed his pride at the level of efficiency that has been reached at the Isa Royal Military College and wished all of the cadets success in their future postings. In addition, two poems were recited in honour of His Royal Highness. Officer cadet AbdulRahman Mohammed Khalifa spoke on behalf of the officer cadets, and expressed their joy on the important and commemorative day. He highlighted the commitment of all commissioning cadets to serve their countries, uphold national values, and their pride in joining the BDF.
Lieutenant Colonel Arif Abdulrahman Al-Buainain then provided a briefing on the college’s training courses and His Royal Highness honoured the top achievers. The new graduates were handed the college's banner and took their oath. The Isa Royal Military College Commandant presented his Royal Highness with a commemorative gift.
His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, son of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman Al Khalifa, son of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince also attended the ceremony.
