Coastguard Commander meets US delegation

Manama, Dec.21 (BNA): Coast Guard Commander, Brigadier Alaa Siyadi today received on Commander of the U.S. Naval Forces Central Command, Vice Admiral Kevin M. Donegan. He welcomed the guest and the accompanied delegation, highlighting importance of exchanging visits to reinforce security cooperation and coordination between the two organisations to create an advanced operational system to support maritime security. The meeting focused on the missions and duties of the Coast Guard and its role in securing regional maritime borders. The Commander was briefed about the functioning of the Maritime Operations Centre.
