HRH Premier calls for concerted efforts to face challenges

Manama, Dec. 21 (BNA): "The world is going through a critical economic and security situation, and Bahrain is no exception, which requires collective efforts to deal with them more effectively in line with the existing partnership among constitutional branches," His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa said.
He urged concerted efforts to focus on the nation-building and development process while continuing interest in strengthening the pillars of security and stability; otherwise the economic development process will be impeded.
HRH Premier made the statements as he received at the Gudaibiya Palace today the Speaker of the Council of Representatives Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al-Mulla, Chairman of the Shura Council Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, the President of the Supreme Judicial Council Chancellor Salim bin Mohammed Al-Kuwari, MPs, Shura Council members and senior state officials.
HRH the Prime Minister stressed that citizen-oriented issues are given top priority in the government's interest and have the biggest share in its present and future programmes and projects.
"We follow up on the citizens' affairs directly through meetings with them or their representatives, or through what is posted on various mass media , and we are keen on fulfilling their needs according to the available potentials and resources," he said.
HRH Premier affirmed that the Bahraini society's cohesion and solidarity are a protective shield that fortifies the nation's achievements and gains, and strengthens its resolve and determination to carry on the development and progress march.
"Challenges, no matter how severe they can be, will never affect our strong determination to progress Bahrain and place it in a status that reflects its position as a pioneering country in many fields," he added.
He asserted that the advancement of the kingdom is a choice made by its people, who, he said is more resolved and determined to continue the development and progress path despite challenges
"Such a highly-aware people is the source of support for the nation and its leadership to continue development in various fields," he said.
The existing cooperation and coordination between the Executive and the Legislature in creating solutions and mechanisms to address economic challenges will ensure the continuity of economic growth, strengthen the national economy and fulfill the citizens' needs without affecting their gains, HRH Premier said.
