Vigilant Guard 4 kicks off

Manama, Dec 20 (BNA): Public Security Chief Maj-Gen Tariq Al-Hassan this morning attended the start off the Coast Guard Command's maritime exercise (Vigilant Guard 4). Special Security Force Command, Police Aviation Command and the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science are taking part in the exercise. The Public Security Chief was briefed on the exercise's goals, stages, execution plan, as well as the security agencies' capabilities of working as one team to protect vital facilities and to address smuggling and infiltration operations. He lauded the spirit of cooperation and coordination among the participating parties, pointing out the importance of such exercises in providing field experience and promoting capabilities of operational planning. He noted the Interior Minister's directives on developing the Coast Guard and providing it with the latest technological and training systems, as well as engaging its staff in security courses for providing the public with best police services. He urged the participants to continue performing their responsibilities in accordance with the law, wishing them success in serving the homeland.
