US ambassador congratulates Bahrain on National Day

Manama, Dec. 14 (BNA): The US Ambassador to Bahrain William Roebuck extended on behalf of the US President Barack Obama, embassy staff and people congratulations to Bahrain leadership and people on the National Day, describing the occasion as an opportunity to voice his country's appreciation of Bahrain's history and achievements as well as strong bilateral relations. The US ambassador extended thanks to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for consolidating ties of friendship binding both countries. He also praised the key role of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister in building strong partnership between both countries. He added that the US highly values strong strategic partnership with Bahrain in various fields. He also pointed out that next year both countries will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) which, he said, is the first of its kind to be concluded by the USA with a GCC member state and stands as a symbol of the Bahraini-American friendship and cooperation. The US ambassador reiterated his country's keenness to further bolster cooperation with Bahrain for a prosperous and secure future for both countries.
