Education minister attends National Day celebrations

Manama, Dec. 13 (BNA): Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al-Nuaimi today attended the celebration held by Al-Mustaqbal Primary Girls' School marking the anniversary of the establishment of the modern state of Bahrain as an Arab and Muslim country in 1783 by its founder Ahmed Al-Fateh, the 44th Anniversary of its accession to the UN as a full member and the 16th Anniversary of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa’s Accession to the Throne. Many primary school students from all governorates participated in the event and presented a variety of events that reflected their love and loyalty to the kingdom and its leadership. The minister lauded the tremendous efforts exerted by the organisers and participants to highlight the education strides attained thanks to the support of the leadership. He affirmed the ministry's keenness to foster patriotism and increase communication between schools through school curricula and extra-curricular events, especially during national occasions. It is to be noted that schools across the kingdom prepared a number of programmes to celebrate the national days.
