Leadership congratulated by Shura Council

Manama, Dec. 13 (BNA): The Shura Council congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister and HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, over His Majesty's Accession Anniversary and the Kingdom's National Day, wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain and its people more glory, power, growth and prosperity. In its statement on Sunday, the Council hailed the Royal Order of His Majesty the King designating 17th December each year to mark Commemoration Day in tribute to the nation's martyrs who sacrificed themselves in defending the homeland so that all the people could enjoy serenity and stability. The Council reiterated the pledge of allegiance and loyalty to the Kingdom's leadership and the nation, hailing the Kingdom's achievements in all fields, including the boosting of the role of constitutional institutions and the State of the Law, the preservation of freedom of opinion and expression, activation of the civilian society organisations, assured political rights of women, human rights protection, thanks to the reforms of HM the King, the Kingdom has assumed its prestigious position on the world map of development.
