Information Affairs Ministry, Representatives Council sign MoU

Manama, Dec. 8 (BNA): A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed today between the Council of Representatives and Ministry of Information Affairs, in the presence of the Speaker Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al-Mulla and the Information and Parliament Affairs Minister Isa Abdulrahman Al Hammadi. The MoU came in line with the future vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and principles of the reform project and constitutional cooperation between the legislative and executive branches, in order to achieve active cooperation and partnership. The MoU was signed by Secretary-General of the Council of Representatives Abdullah bin Khalaf Al-Dossari and Bahrain News Agency (BNA) Acting Director General Mohannad Sulaiman Al-Nuaimi. MP Mohammed Al Maarfi, MP Jamal Dawood, Assistant Secretary-General for Financial Affairs and Human Resources Yasser Al Shirawi, Bahrain TV Director Yusuf Mohammed, News Centre Director Abdulla Khalid and Bahrain Radio Director Younis Salman were present. Al-Dossari affirmed that the MoU is in line with the speaker's directives within the framework of fruitful cooperation between the government and the council of representatives and highlighting the efforts exerted by the council in various media outlets. Under the MoU, the two sides will coordinate the preparation of a number of TV and radio programmes and projects related to the Council of Representative's work, broadcast the council's sessions and meetings and secretariat general's activities as well as activating cooperation with the government press and news reports and allocating seats for the council's affiliates in the media training sessions organised by the ministry. Al-Dossari expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to the Information and Parliament Affairs Ministry and the ministry's affiliates for their efforts to support the Council of Representatives' work, under the Reform Project spearheaded by HM the King.
