Bahrain-Jordan judicial cooperation discussed

Manama, Dec. 8 (BNA): President of the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) and Head of the Cassation Court Chancellor Salim bin Mohammed Al-Kuwari received here today the Jordanian Vice President of the Court of Cassation Mohammed Saleem Al Tarawneh, on the sidelines of the training programme of the Judges of the Future Project by SJC. Al-Kuwari underscored the importance of the Judges of the Future Project, given the judges' difficult job and he affirmed SJC's keenness on developing the judiciary system through the national project. He added that the project enriches the judicial system with qualified judges by offering intensive workshops. Al-Kuwari outlined the importance of exchanging expertise among the Arab countries, saying that the Arab communities are similar in the judicial field, as they have similar culture and traditions. He reviewed the Bahraini judicial heritage and its independence and affirmed that each country has a different royal constitutional system. Al Tarawneh conveyed the regards of the Chief of the Supreme Judicial Council and underscored the importance of expanding the horizons of cooperation and exchanging expertise, He highlighted the progress in the workflow of the judicial process in Bahrain and interest in the latest developments, especially in the human rights field.
