Stage set for "This is Bahrain" festival

Manama, Dec.5 (BNA): The stage is set for "This is Bahrain" festival to be held under the royal patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa. The event will take place on Friday (Dec11) at the National Stadium Car Park as part of festivities celebration of Bahrain’s National Day. "A rich programme featuring live shows and recreational events for children and families will start at 3 PM and run until 11 PM", said Bahrain Federation of Expatriate Associations (BFEA) Secretary-General Betsy B. Mathieson. She held a press conference to shed light on the ongoing preparations ahead of the festival as Bahrain gears up to celebrate the National Day and the Accession of HM the King. She commended Bahrain’s longstanding reputation as the bedrock of human civilizations and a millennia-old crossroad which embraced various religions and races, hailing people’s freedom to exercise their faith - something which is rarely seen in other countries. "Bahrain remain steadfast despite all the challenges and the terror which is ravaging many societies", she said, paying tribute to HM the King who, she said, consolidated religious liberties and openness on other cultures and cultivated the spirit of closely-knit family in Bahrain which is long-famed for tolerance and co-existence. Mathieson thanked the sponsoring companies and all participants for their cooperation.
