Iran strongly condemns terrorist attacks in Iraq

Tehran, Jan 5, IRNA - Foreign Ministry spokesman Hassan Qashqavi on Sunday strongly
condemned the terrorist attacks in Iraq which have claimed the lives
of many innocent civilians and mourners in religious ceremonies in Iraq.

A bomb ripped through the holy shrine of Imam Musa Kazem (AS), the
seventh Imam of infallible household of holy Prophet (PBUH), in Iraq
on Sunday, claiming the lives of many innocent pilgrims.

Qashqavi described the terrorist actions as inhuman and strongly condemned it.

Such crimes are against Islamic as well as humanitarian values and
only serve the sinister plots of the enemies of Islam, he said.

"Unfortunately, the occupiers through their wrong actions have created
grounds for promotion of rampant insecurity in Iraq," he said.

The Foreign Ministry spokesman expressed condolences to the families
of the victims and prayed for quick recovery of the injured.
