HRH Premier receives Arab ambassadors

Manama, Nov. 23 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa received at the Gudaibiya Palace today Arab Ambassadors to Bahrain, led by the Kuwaiti Ambassador and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps Shaikh Azzam Mubarak Al-Sabah. The ambassador conveyed to HRH Premier the congratulations and best wishes of their countries' leaders on his birthday, and their wishes of abundant good health and long life so as to be able to carry on the renaissance and progress march in the kingdom. HRH the Prime Minister expressed pride in the sincere fraternal feelings they expressed towards him. He requested ambassadors of GCC and Arab countries to convey his greetings to their leaders and heads of governments. HRH Premier reviewed with the ambassadors the latest regional and global development, stressing the importance of facing the increasing security and economic challenges that pose a serious threat to Arab countries' security and stability and impede their development and prosperity efforts. "The region is going through a serious and dangerous phase in its modern history, and there powers that want no good or progress for our countries and people, and seek to spread anarchy, but the peoples' awareness will thwart all that," he said. He affirmed the importance of blocs, noting that Arab countries have sufficient natural and human resources that enable them to impose their strength and will in the world once they unify their stances. "Allah Almighty blessed our countries with plenty of wealth that has always been coveted by many powers, and therefore we have to be highly aware, vigilant and well prepared to face all plots to weaken us and distract us from achieving our peoples' aspirations for development and progress," he said. HRH the Prime Minister called for the need to adopt a unified Arab vision and cooperation strategies to face the scourge of terrorism and dry up its sources, stressing that "terrorism is the biggest enemy of life". HRH Premier highlighted the importance of intensifying meetings between Arab leaders in order to unify stances and enhance joint coordination vis-à-vis the challenges facing countries of the region. The Prime Minister commended the role of Arab ambassadors to Bahrain in consolidating cooperation between Bahrain and their countries in all fields, wishing them success in performing their diplomatic duties. The ambassadors expressed thanks and appreciation to HRH Premier for constant care to reinforce Arab cooperation and partnership in all fields. They lauded his wisdom in dealing with many situations and challenges, stressing that the current phase requires further Arab joint action that will reinforce Arab countries' efforts in the development field.
