Bahrain-Sri Lanka business ties discussed

Manama, Nov. 23 (BNA): The Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI)'s Bahrain Asian Traders Committee (BATC) headed by vice-treasurer and head of committee Mohammed Sajid visited the Ambassador of the Republic of Sri Lanka to the Kingdom of Bahrain Dr. A. Saj U.Mendis. The delegation's visit to the Sri Lankan Embassy came in translation of the committee’s aim of invigorating and facilitating the various business activities of Asians in Bahrain and encouraging investment flow and partnership between local business owners and their Asian counterparts in collaboration with the Asian embassies in Bahrain. During the meeting, both the committee and the ambassador hailed the strong bonds between Bahrain and Sri Lanka notably economic and business ties, and called to further enhance the cooperation to upgrade the trade and business activities. The BATC has extended an invitation to the Sri Lankan Ambassador to attend the conference the committee plans to hold in March 2016 entitled "Gateway to the Arabian Gulf".
