HRH Premier holds work meeting on investment in Bahrain

Manama, Nov. 22 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa today held a work meeting which he devoted to the investment situation in the kingdom and the facilities to be provided to support the government's policies to improve the investment atmosphere in the country. HRH Premier held the work meeting in response to the remarks made by economic and trade figures during his meeting with them at the Gudaibiya Palace earlier today. HRH the Prime Minister issued directives to the Minister of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning to streamline procedures for investors in the Municipal one stop shop so as to support the investment sector on which the government is relying to spur the national economy. The Prime Minister also issued instructions to prioritise and give facilities for mega investment projects that have a direct positive impact on the economic march. He also directed to enhance cooperation with engineering consulting bureaus in the kingdom regarding government projects, in line with his desire to support national competencies. HRH Premier urged periodic review of investment procedures so as to ensure they cope with the requirements and needs of each phase. HRH the Prime Minister also gave directives to intensify meetings between officials on investment, especially regarding procedures and permits of merchants and businessmen in order to address their needs and requirements.
