Deputy Premier receives UNDP's Resident Representative

Manama, Nov. 19 (BNA): Deputy Prime Minister His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa received the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)'s RC/RR, Peter Grohmann who delivered a letter of gratitude and appreciation to His Highness from UNDP Director Helen Clark after her visit to Bahrain during which she participated in the UNDP's regional conference on sustainable development. Grohmann briefed His Highness on preparations ahead of the Ministerial Conference on Implementation of Sustainable Development Plan2030 in Arab Countries, slated to be hosted in Bahrain next month, co-organised by the Arab League, the UNDP and the Kingdom of Bahrain's Government. The deputy premier asserted the significant role undertaken by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) aimed at capacity building, sustainable development and economic growth, praising the constant cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the UNDP and affirming its continuity to achieve the best results.
