Yemen talks with Hamas leadership on Gaza crisis

SANA'A, Jan 03 (Saba) – Well-informed sources of Foreign Ministry
said on Saturday that Yemen had held talks with the leadership of
Palestinian Hamas movement on the latest developments in the Gaza
Strip.

Speaking to Saba, the sources said that the talks had dealt with the
ways to help the Palestinian people suffering from the ongoing
Israeli aggression on Gaza.

"Yemen has confirmed its support for the Palestinian case as well as
the necessity of strengthening the Palestinian national unity", the
sources added.

The sources renewed Yemen's positive attitude towards the
Palestinian people within of reconciliation between the rival
Palestinian factions under the Yemeni initiative.

The Israeli intensive attacks in Gaza killed up to 430 Palestinians
since their start on Dec. 27, more than half of them died on the
first day of the offensive as the warplanes launched simultaneous
strikes at tens of police and security stations across the coastal
enclave.

More than 160 Hamas policemen were among the dead, the majority of
them passed away when their posts were bombed. The strikes
continued, adding houses and mosques to their range of fire.
