HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman Al Khalifa attends Dewali celebrations

Manama, Nov 11 (BNA): HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman Al Khalifa underlines Bahrain’s commitment to cultural and religious diversity during Diwali family visits. On behalf of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman Al Khalifa today visited the Bhatia, Gajria, Kewalram, Haridas, Kavalani and Thakar families to mark the religious festival of Diwali. During the visits, His Highness extended the greetings of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince to the families, and expressed His Royal Highness’ appreciation for the families' important contribution towards the Kingdom’s commercial and economic sectors. His Highness Shaikh Mohammed expressed his pride in Bahrain’s long established multicultural and diverse society, which continues to foster religious and cultural understanding. His Highness highlighted that protecting religious rights and freedoms and promoting the principles of tolerance and coexistence have always been a part of Bahraini society, and supported by His Majesty King Hamad. His Highness also emphasised the important role Islam plays in promoting tolerance between all religions and cultures. His Highness went on to wish all Bahraini citizens and residents peace and prosperity under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad. For their part, the families celebrating Diwali expressed gratitude for His Highness Shaikh Mohammed’s visit, and expressed appreciation for the continued support of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince. The families also welcomed the Kingdom’s cultural openness and longstanding support for religious rights.
