HRH Premier receives senior officials, press personnel, citizens

Manama, Nov. 10 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has saluted the Bahraini citizens for their spirit of initiative that led them towards excellence and enabled them to bring about landmark national achievements, which earned the Bahraini people global appreciation and admiration. He praised the Bahraini citizens' awareness of the challenges and ability to deal with them in a way that safeguards top national interests. HRH the Prime Minister expressed deep pride in the values of co-existence and acceptance of the other prevailing among the members of the Bahraini society, stressing that such noble values have, throughout history, stimulated national achievements, strengthened the Bahraini society's unity and cohesion, and fortified it against attempts to divide it or sow sedition seeds among its members. HRH Premier affirmed that the government has realised the importance of investing in the Bahrainis citizens, being the most successful investments, and therefore focused its efforts on enhancing human development. HRH Premier made the statements as he received at the Gudaibiya Palace today a number of senior state officials, press and media personnel, businessmen, academics and scores of citizens. HRH Premier said that the government welcomes remarks aiming to support its auditing policies that improve performance and ensure that public money is spent in the fields assigned to it legally. He voiced pride in the positive interaction of the National Press and columnists with the remarks featuring in the Audit Report 2014-2015 issued by the National Audit Office, which, he asserted, reflects the effective role played by the Press in the National Action march. He stressed that the existing multiple challenges require a dynamic media that enlightens the public opinion, interacts with the unfolding events and has the spirit of initiative to analyse and diagnose them, noting that the National Press has succeeded in being close to the citizens and establishing itself as an integral credible source of information regarding local, regional and global development. On regional and global developments, HRH the Prime Minister affirmed that plots against the Arab Nation are on the increase, which, he said, requires Arabs to unify their stances in order to be able to foil those conspiracies and spare their peoples their repercussions. HRH Premier recalled with appreciation and gratitude the role played by sisterly Saudi Arabia, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, in fostering Arab solidarity, defending Arab and Islamic causes and strengthening the pillars of security and stability across the region.
