Bahrain, Russia mark silver jubilee

Manama, Nov.9 (BNA): A ceremony marking the silver jubilee of diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Russia was held this evening. His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa deputised his advisor Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa and Shaikh Khalifa bin Rashid Al-Khalifa to attend the event. Russian Ambassador to Bahrain Vagif Garaev hosted the reception party at the Sheraton Hotel in the presence of senior officials and members of the diplomatic corps. Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa and Shaikh Khalifa bin Rashid Al-Khalifa conveyed greetings from HRH the Premier to Russian and its friendly people, wishing them further progress and prosperity. They hailed steadily-growing bilateral relations in all fields, stressing shared keenness on expanding joint cooperation to serve mutual interests. The Russian ambassador extended deepest thanks to the HRH the Premier, hailing his keen interest in bolstering cooperation between the two friendly countries. He affirmed his country's keenness on strengthening bilateral relations, which would contribute to laying the foundations for solid joint cooperation.
