Youth minister congratulates Shaikh Ali bin Abdulla on ASC presidency

Manama, Nov. 7 (BNA): Minister of Youth and Sport Affairs Hisham bin Mohammed Al-Jowdar has congratulated Shaikh Ali bin Abdulla Al Khalifa following his election uncontested as President of the Asian Shooting Confederation (ASC) for the next four years. Al-Jowdar said the win is the fruitful result of the constant support of the leadership and His Majesty the King’s Representative for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Chairman, Bahrain Olympic Committee President Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa for the sport movement in the kingdom and keenness to constantly encourage Bahraini sport competencies in order to hold leadership positions in continental and international sports agencies and federations. The unanimous election of a Bahraini personality to lead the Asian Shooting Confederation confirms the confidence of the Asian shooting community in the ability of Bahraini competencies to hold top posts, he said. It also crowns the efforts exerted by Shaikh Ali bin Abdulla Al Khalifa when he was President of the Bahrain Shooting Association, interaction with the activities of ASC and keenness to promote the game, wishing him every success.
