QQA, NVTC discuss cooperation

Manama, Oct. 21 (BNA): The National Authority of Qualifications and Quality Assurance for Education and Training (QQA) Chief Executive Dr. Jawaher Shaheen Al Mudhahki received here today Assistant Director General of Operation and Student Services at Nasser Vocational Training Centre (NVTC) Salah Al Abdulla to explore means of joint cooperation. Dr. Al Mudhahki said that this meeting comes within QQA's coordinating efforts and cooperation with relevant authorities at the education and training sector, in line with the tasks assigned to QQA and strategic goals of promoting Bahrain's education and training process. Al Abdulla lauded the efforts exerted by QQA in order to upgrade education and training in the Kingdom of Bahrain, adding that NVTC will place the qualifications and certificates it issues on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF), following QQA's systems and policies. NVTC delegation reviewed its executive programmes and goals within a professional integrated educational system, as well as short courses for public and private institutions, in order to supply the labour market with professional employees who are trained in various fields.
