NIHR, SIU discuss cooperation

Manama, Oct. 21 (BNA): Chairman of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) Dr. Abdulaziz Hassan Abul received here today Chief Prosecutor and Head of the Special Investigation Unit (SIU) Nawaf Abdulla Hamza, who introduced to him the professional standards and legal services expert former Deputy Chief Constable of the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) Judith Gillespie, and Northern Ireland PPS Senior Assistant Director Stephen Burnside. The two sides discussed areas of joint NIHR-SIU cooperation and coordination between, and ways to avail of the services provided by the international expert in the professional fields related to protecting and consolidating human rights in the kingdom. NIHR's Deputy Chairman Abdulla Ahmed Al-Derazi, Chairman of the Complaints, Monitoring and Follow-up Committee Maria Khoury and Acting Secretary-General Chancellor Yasser Ghanim Shahin were present.
