HRH Premier stresses support to national development efforts

Manama, Oct. 19 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has asserted the government's full support to every national effort aiming to enhance development in line with its constant desire to support those seeking to develop the nation and ensure national interests. HRH the Prime Minister pointed out that the way is well paved for more cooperation between the Executive and Legislative branches, reiterating the government's commitment to honouring its pledges before the "representatives of the people" regarding development and modernisation projects included in its four-year action plan. He made the statements as he received at the Gudaibiya Palace today the Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh and a number of MPs and Shura Council members, in the presence of former Speaker of the Representatives Council Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Dhahrain and a number of senior state officials. HRH Premier lauded the Representatives Council's "objective" attitude towards the current developments and their economic and security repercussions, as well as impacts on development and the implementation of projects, stressing the need to step up cooperation between the two branches as the best means to face challenges of the current phase. HRH the Prime Minister said that he always welcomes contacting members of the Legislative Branch to approximate ideas and stances on ways to enhance the national action march, affirming that the two branches share the same ultimate goal of serving the nation and its people. HRH Premier highlighted the importance of the legislative and monitoring role played by the Legislative Branch in supporting the government's economic and security policies at the domestic and external levels.
