Bahrain participates in global security forum

Manama, Oct. 18 (BNA): The Bahrain Centre for Strategic, International and Energy Studies (DERASAT)'s Board of Trustees' Chairman, Khalid Ibrahim Al-Fodhala, participated in sixth global security forum in Xiangshan, in the People's Republic of China. The forum discusses strategic global security aspects and trends in the Asia-Pacific region and their effect on the security situation in general, on October 16-18. The forum sheds light on the role, and means of boosting cooperation between, thought study centres as well as regional cooperation on counterterrorism and combating terrorist groups. Al-Fodhala met the Deputy President of the Chinese Institute of International and Strategic Studies, Huang Baifu, and explored with him cooperation between DERASAT and the Chinese Institute of International and Strategic Studies, the potential holding of joint activities in the foreseeable future and means of cooperation on research between experts from both sides.
