India rules out hot pursuit on terrorists operating from Pak

New Delhi, Dec 31 (PTI) India Wednesday virtually ruled
out any hot pursuit on terrorists operating from Pakistan's
soil by taking a leaf out of the Israeli air strikes on Gaza
strip.

"...so that incident or that event, (Israeli air
strikes) we cannot draw any lessons for the way we deal with
Pakistan," Indian Home Minister P Chidambaram said when asked
whether New Delhi can draw lessons from the Israeli air
strikes to pursue terrorists in Pakistan.

He recalled that India had strongly criticised the
Israeli strikes and urged the country to stop those attacks on
Palestine.

Chidambaram said India's position has been made clear
by Ministry of External Affairs. PTI
