FM holds talks with Egyptian counterpart in Cairo

CAIRO, Dec. 31 (Saba) - Minister of Foreign Affairs Abu Bakr
al-Qirbi discussed here on Wednesday with Egyptian counterpart Ahmed
Aboul Gheit coordinating attitudes towards issues on the Arab
Foreign ministers' agenda.

During the meeting held on the sidelines of the Urgent Arab Foreign
Minister meetings, Aboul Gheit briefed al-Qirbi on the Egyptian
proposal that includes ceasing fire in Gaza Strip and to renewal the
truce between the Palestinians and the Israelis.

Moreover, opening Rafah crossing and the adoption of an
international mechanism to monitor the commitment of the two sides
to implement these items are in including Egyptian proposal.

Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi takes part in the urgent meeting
of Arab Foreign Ministers being held an in the Egyptian capital of
Cairo to discuss the barbaric Israeli aggression on Palestinian
people in Gaza Strip.
