GCC approves joining Yemen into further GCC bodies

MUSCAT, Dec. 30 (Saba)- The Higher Council for Gulf Cooperation Council GCC approved joining Yemen to several GCC agencies, the Gulf Standards and Specifications Organization, the Gulf Organization for Industrial Consulting (GOIC) and the Audit Bureaus' Body as well as Gulf Television and Radio Body.



The higher council asked to take legal required measures regarding to this decision,
highlighting the growing cooperation between Yemen and the GCC countries.

In a statement to Saba, Deputy Minister of Planning and International Cooperation
Hisham Sharf said the decision of the Gulf council comes within steps toward
integrating Yemen into to the Gulf bloc.

Sharf highlighted importance of activating cooperation between Yemen and the GCC
countries by encouraging Gulf private sector to invest in Yemen.

He renewed concern of Yemen to do further reforms to better investment environment
in the country to attract Gulf investment.
