President Saleh telephones Egyptian counterpart
KHARTOUM, Dec. 30 (Saba) - President Ali Abdullah Saleh held on Tuesday a held a telephone conversation with his Egyptian counterpart Mohammed Hosni Mubarak.
During the conversation, the two Arab leaders talked over a number of the issues of
common concern as well as the current developments in Palestine in light of the
Israeli aggression and massacres against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
President Saleh expressed regret to President Mubarak for the storm of some
protesters the Egyptian consulate in the city of Aden, stressing that those elements
will be tried.
The two leaders also reviewed the latest developments in the region, particularly
the aggression and massacres committed by the Israeli occupation forces against the
Palestinian people.
Saleh and Mubarak confirmed the importance of getting a unified Arab stance towards
these developments for stopping the Israeli aggression and ending the suffering of
the Palestinian people due to the unjust embargo imposed on them.
