Premier congratulated on ITU honour

Manama, Sep.28 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa received a cable of congratulations from Fuad Hussein Shuweitar on being granted the Communication Technology in Sustainable Development Award by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). The award was presented to a Bahrain delegation attending a ceremony which was held at the United Nations (UN) headquarters in New York to mark the ITU 150th anniversary. Shuweitar extended congratulations to HRH the Premier, hailing the ITU award as a global honour which acknowledges Bahrain’s landmark strides in using ICT technologies to achieve sustainable development goals.
