HRH Premier congratulated by Muharraq governor, citizens

Manama, Sept. 28 (BNA): Muharraq Governor Salman bin Isa bin Hindi has extended heartfelt congratulations to His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa on being granted the Information and Communication Technology in Sustainable Development Award by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) during a special ceremony held at the UN headquarters in New York, in the presence of high-profile delegations and ITU senior officials. Speaking on behalf of the Muharraq citizens, the governor affirmed that the prestigious award reflects the entire world’s interest in HRH the Prime Minister’s achievements for his dedicated people. He stressed that words are not sufficient to describe the extent of Muharraq citizens’ love and loyalty to HRH Premier for his innumerable achievements for Bahrain and its people during His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s glorious era, noting that ITU Award is a source of pride for all Bahrainis, in general, and the citizens of Muharraq, in particular. He stressed that the top global honour conferred on HRH the Premier, the first of its kind to be granted to an Arab Prime Minister, is the fruitful result of the openness policy adopted by the kingdom since the launch of the Reform Project spearheaded by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, supported by HRH Prince Khalifa, and backed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister.
