Social media violator arrested, other users identified

Manama, Sep.26 (BNA): A person who misused the social media websites and committed violations which are punishable by the law has been arrested, the Directorate of Anti-Corruption and Economic and Electronic Security director-general said. "The directorate monitored the material posted on the "Fareej Karimi" account and caught its owner after securing an arrest warrant from the Public Prosecution", he said. He pointed out that the investigation conducted by the Directorate of Anti-Corruption and Economic and Electronic Security led to the identification of the other account users who are based abroad. In a statement issued today, he said that legal procedures are being taken to refer the case to the Public Prosecution.
