Foreign minister takes part in UN Sustainable Development Summit

New York, Sept. 25 (BNA): Representing His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, took part in the United Nations Summit for the Adoption of the Post-2015 Development Agenda, which started its session here today and continues for three days. The UN General Assembly officially adopted a new ambitious plan for sustainable development, which will be the launching point for the work of the international community and governments to achieve prosperity for all in the coming 15 years by achieving 17 goals, mainly the eradication of poverty in all its forms, to provide food security, ensure good health, adequate and inclusive education for all, achieve gender equality, ensure the availability of water for all and sustainable management, promote sustained and inclusive economic growth for all, the establishment of a sustainable infrastructure, encourage comprehensive and sustainable manufacturing for all and encourage innovation.
