Nasser Training Centre branch launched

Manama, Sept. 17 (BNA): On behalf of Interior Minister, Lt-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Interior Ministry Undersecretary, Major-General Khalid Salem Al Absi launched the branch of the Nasser Centre for Rehabilitation and Vocational Training at the Reformation and Rehabilitation Centre in Jaw. The launching ceremony was held at the Public Security Officers Club, in the presence of General Secretary of the Royal Charity Organisation (RCO), Mustafa Al Sayed, Deputy Chairman of Trustees of the Nasser Centre for Rehabilitation and Vocational Training, Engineer Abdulrahman Al Hamadi and officials. The Undersecretary hailed the initiative of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of Board of Trustees of RCO and Chairman of the Center for developing cooperation between the centre and the ministry to provide advanced reformation programmes for inmates to integrate them into society. He hailed the directives of HE Interior Minister to enhance operations and provided services. He highlighted importance for joint efforts for the success of the project, in order to redirect the energy of inmates towards serious education and vocational training. The programme will be carried under the supervision of specialised trainers, in which inmates will get vocational secondary education certificate. Colonel Ghazi Saleh Al Sinan, in-charge of the General Directorate of Reformation and Rehabilitation highlighted the dedication of the ministry to provide the best services for inmates and detainees and protect their rights. During the ceremony, the attendees watched a video on the opening of the centre’s branch.
