Voluntary work in focus

Manama, Sept. 14 (BNA): His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa today received a United Nations delegation led by UN Volunteers programme (UNV) Deputy Executive Coordinator, Rosemary Kalapurakal and discussed joint cooperation to promote voluntary work in Bahrain. HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa stressed Bahrain’s resolve to bolster cooperation with voluntary work organisations, including the Nations. He reviewed with the UN official Bahrain’s dedicated efforts to disseminate the culture of voluntary work and briefed the UN delegation on the objectives of the Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa, hailing the UNV-led efforts to encourage social institutions to engage in voluntary work.
