HRH Premier: People's welfare will remain top priority

Manama, Sept. 14 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa said the recent international developments have shown that there are plots to undermine regional security and stability by taking advantage of certain incidents and promoting them via mass media to influence the public opinion. He was speaking as he received at Gudaibiya Palace today Representatives Council Speaker Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al-Mulla, President of the Supreme Judicial Council and the Cassation Court Chancellor Salim bin Mohammed Al-Kuwari, former Representatives Council Speaker Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Dhahrani, members of the parliament and senior officials. HRH the Premier pointed out that what is happening in the region is part of a plot to shake security and hamper the development process in the GCC countries. He underscored the great care given to the GCC nationals by their governments, unlike many other countries. He noted that people's welfare has always been and will remain the government's top priority despite all challenges. He also stressed the need to preserve the historical and national heritage and commemorate the names of those who contributed to building Bahrain, pointing out that documenting their achievements will serve as a stimulus for all Bahrainis to follow in their footsteps and build on hard-won gains. HRH the Prime Minister underlined the importance of voluntary work and the need to instill noble values in youngsters by engaging them in humanitarian activities to help the needy. He affirmed that those activities represent an integral part of community partnership which reflects the Bahraini culture. He also reiterated the need to bolster cooperation between the executive and legislative branches to better serve the nation and boost citizens' welfare.
