US Central Command: Iraqi Forces Making Progress In The War Against ISIS

Washington / NINA / The Central Command of the US military said Iraqi Forces "still making progress in the war against Daash".
The spokesman of the Central Command Colonel Patrick Ryder said that the international coalition is currently providing support to Iraqi forces, particularly in Baiji and Ramadi.
Ryder said in an interview via closed-circuit television that Baiji refinery area is witnessing severe fighting, noting that the coalition carried out 13 air strikes over the past week in that region.
He noted that Daash lost hundreds of fighters in Baiji refinery area and still sending more troops.
Ryder said that the coalition ended the training of about 13 thousand soldiers since the start of the air campaign and is currently training four thousand troops, stressing that these forces operate effectively in areas around Ramadi and other parts of Iraq."
He added that the international coalition is ongoing to help the Iraqi forces during the land operations planning, intelligence sharing, air support integration operations in logistics planning, command and control and communications. / End
