Bahrain attends GCC security meeting

Riyadh, Sept. 9 (BNA):The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Interior undersecretaries today convened for their meeting in Saudi Arabia. Interior Ministry Undersecretary Major-General Khalid Salim Al-Absi led Bahrain’s delegation to the session, which was held in the GCC General Secretariat in Riyadh. The officials stressed the importance of continuing joint consultation and coordination to bolster security cooperation, deal with developments and changes unfolding in the region and confront challenges confronting the GCC states. Key issues were on the agenda, particularly the protection of vital and securities facilities, counter-terrorism strategies and the formation of teams to tackle security crises.
