School lifeline for RCO students

Manama, Sept. 9 (BNA): The Royal Charity Organisation (RCO) disbursed a cash school allowance to enable RCO-sponsored orphans studying at schools and universities to cater for all their school needs, including clothes, stationery and school stuff. RCO Secretary General Dr. Mustafa Al-Sayed said the Schoolbag Project reflects keenness of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to ensure RCO affiliates have access to good education. The initiative is also in line with the directives of Personal Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity and Youth Affairs and RCO Board of Trustees Chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa to provide students with a favourable climate to pursue their education and encourage them to stand out. Customers' Services Director Badr Gamber said the Schoolbag Project is one of RCO's annual projects which aim to cater for the needs of students by providing them with a favourable educational climate to learn and excel. The organisation distributed recently, in cooperation with Zain company, 100 schoolbags on its affiliates nationwide, as part of the Schoolbag Project organised under the patronage of Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa. The project's inauguration was attended by Head of the Programmes and Activities Department Sawsan Yousef and Head of the Social Research Department Ali Al Basri. A O Q
