Deputy King visits BDF HQ, pays tribute to martyrs

Manama, Sept. 8 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Deputy King, today visited the General Command for the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF)'s General Headquarters. During the visit, His Royal Highness paid tribute to the Bahraini soldiers who lost their lives while protecting the southern border of Saudi Arabia, as part of the Saudi-led coalition forces participating in Operation Restore Hope. His Royal Highness offered his heartfelt condolences to the families and friends of the martyrs, the BDF personnel, the people of Bahrain, and prayed to Allah the Almighty to bestow His mercy on them and to rest their souls in eternal peace. His Royal Highness expressed his appreciation of the Kingdom’s Armed Forces and emphasised the significant role of the BDF’s personnel in supporting the Kingdom’s ongoing efforts to restore security and stability in the region, which includes effective cooperation and collaboration with regional allies. Upon his arrival, His Royal Highness was received by the BDF’s Commander-in-Chief, Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Lt-General Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Jalahma, Minister of Defence Affairs, the BDF’s Chief of Staff, Lt-General Dhiab bin Saqer Al-Nuaimi and a number of senior officers.
