GCC leaders began closed-door session
Muscat, Dec 30, 2008 (WAM) - The GCC leaders yesterday started their first closed door session at Al Bustan Hotel in Muscat under the chairmanship of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Saeed of Oman.
President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan is leading UAE's delegation.
The leaders are expected to discuss items on the summit's agenda, including political, economic, military, security and social issues, as well as the latest regional and international developments.
They will also review a report by H.E. Abdul Rahman bin Hamad Al Attiyah, Secretary General of the GCC, on the Council's achievements since the last summit, held in Doha.
