Haj season instructions announced

Jeddah, Sept. 7 (BNA): The Consulate General of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Jeddah directed pilgrims coming from Bahrain to comply with the health instructions for the season of Hajj by taking the necessary preventive vaccinations against diseases before travelling to perform Hajj. The Consulate also requests that those who are travelling for Hajj to check the acquisition of permits for vehicles travelling by road within the Kingdom and to obtain official pilgrimage permission. In addition, it warns against harboring offenders which exposes them to legal accountability. The Consulate explained the usual procedures applied by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to regulate vehicles in areas of the pilgrimage which includes the prevention of all types of vehicles that are not registered in the Kingdom and carrying less than 25 passengers and whose driver is dressed in Ihram from entering Mecca. Small vehicles will be stopped at the entrances to Mecca or returned to where they came from. The transfer of passengers to Mecca will be by public transport buses. The Consulate stressed that the Saudi authorities prevent, and under all circumstances, all kinds of small vehicles from entering the holy sites during the Hajj season, and prevent all types of vehicles allocated for the purposes of services and the transfer of employees, supervisors and workers to the holy places unless it obtains permissions from designated authorities in accordance with the specific laws set for it. The Consulate called upon pilgrims coming from the Kingdom of Bahrain to perform Hajj by road to take caution during driving and ensure the safety of tires and the vehicle.
