Ajman Ruler reaches out to families in Gaza Strip
Ajman, Dec 30, 2008 (WAM) - Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al-Nuaimi, has directed the Ajman Charity Authority to quickly reach out to Palestinian families in Gaza to help alleviate their sufferings.
The move is in line with the directives of President H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to, as a matter of urgency, provide emergency relief supplies to the victims of the ongoing Israeli military aggression on Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
According to Salim bin Ahmed Al-Nuaimi, Ajman Ruler's Special Advisor on Charity Works Affairs, who is also the Chairman of the UAE Charity Authority, his outfit, through its office in Gaza, is currently distributing emergency medical and food items to the victims of the Israeli aggression. He said the Ajman Charity Authority is also preparing to send more supplies to meet the needs of the people there as the Israeli siege on the Gaza Strip had created a major shortage in medical and food items, adding that preparations are at advanced stage to cargo tons of essential commodities to the Strip.
