Finance Minister receives World Bank delegation

Manama, Sept. 6 (BNA): The Minister of Finance, Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, received earlier today a World Bank delegation comprising Hafez Ghanem, Regional Vice President of MENA and Professor Mirza H. Hasan, Dean of Executive Board and Executive Director. They reviewed ongoing co-operation programmes between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the World Bank and means of enhancing such co-operation in a way that fosters the development process in the Kingdom. Also discussed were the new developmental initiatives of the global institution, particularly throughout the region. The meeting was attended by Aref S. Khamis, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance (MOF) and a number of ministry officials.
