HRH Premier pays visit to Hidd

Manama, Sept. 2 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa paid a visit today to Hidd town as part of field visits to reach out to citizens, assess their needs and follow up on implementation of government projects. HRH the Premier ordered to start implementing many facilities to serve people in Hidd. He inaugurated a multi-purpose hall project, which was ordered to be constructed by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and named it after Jabr bin Mohammed Al-Musallam in tribute for his contributions to serving Bahrain and the Bahraini community. The hall will be built in line with the royal directives on the land plot owned by the Royal Charity Organisation. HRH the Prime Minister directed to complete Hidd Harbour facilities and tasked the Ministerial Committee for Construction and Infrastructure to follow up on the work progress there. He also tasked the Traffic Council to study changing the traffic movement on Hidd Avenue into one way to alleviate traffic jams there. He ordered to name roads and facilities in Hidd after men from that town, especially those who contributed remarkably to national work and rallying ranks of the Bahraini people. HRH the Premier listened to citizens' views and proposals on the needed amenities and ordered relevant parties to study them. He directed ministers and officials to pay more field visits to inspect projects and reach out to citizens nationwide to ensure optimum government services reach them everywhere. HRH the Prime Minister asserted the government's resolve to continue implementing development projects across Bahrain to further boost citizens' welfare, pointing out the fast-paced steps taken towards attaining the comprehensive development goals by ensuring exemplary services are provided for all citizens in all fields. On their part, Hidd residents thanked HRH the Premier for the visit which confirms anew his keenness on catering for citizens' needs and ensuring a decent life for them. They also took pride in meeting HRH the Prime Minister, commending his dedicated efforts in serving the nation and its people.
