Iran's relief aid arrived in Cairo airport

Tehran, Dec 29, IRNA Iran's planeload of food and medicine for the besieged people of Gaza
arrived in Cairo airport in Egypt Sunday night, Foreign Ministry
spokesman, Hassan Qashqavi, said on Monday.

The plane sent by Iran's Red Crescent, carried foodstuffs and
medicines for Gazans who are hit by unprecedented Israeli air strikes,
Qashqavi told reporters at his weekly press conference.

He added that a second plan was also on the verge of being sent to the
same destination.

The cargos are to be delivered to the Egyptian Red Crescent for being
transferred to Gaza Strip.

The Zionist regime's genocide in the region has so far left over 310
dead and mover than 1,400 injured. Defenseless women and children
included most of the casualties and wounded.

Qashqavi said that the ongoing massacre in Gaza was "clear example of
genocide and war crimes."
He said that what is happening in Gaza was "against all international
conventions on defending children and women rights as well as those
related to not killing of civilians."
The spokesman said that a shipment of Iran's foodstuffs, medical and
hygienic items for the Gazans would also leave the Persian Gulf port
of Bandar Abbas in Hormuzgan province later on Monday.

The cargo would reportedly be sent to the Jordanian port of Aqaba.

Qashqavi voiced Iran's readiness to transfer injured Gazans to Tehran
for medical treatment.

Referring to President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's initiative for suing the
Israeli leaders for their crimes against humanity in Gaza Strip,
Qashqavi expressed hope that the president's proposal would be highly
welcomed by human rights advocates encouraging them to act in a way
which would heal the damaged conscious of the world public opinion.

In a cabinet session of Sunday, President Ahmadinejad emphasized the
need for an immediate judicial action against the Israeli leaders.

He said that the International Court of Criminals should issue arrest
warrants to the Israeli leaders by the Interpol.

The president said those involved by any means in such brutality
"should be designated as war criminals and murderers" before the
United Nations Court specialized in war crimes.
