HRH Premier receives new ambassadors

Manama, Aug. 26 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has issued directives to the kingdom’s ambassadors abroad to spare no effort to develop Bahrain’s relations with various countries of the world and give top priority to serving the citizens and protecting their interests.
He affirmed the government’s constant keenness to care for the citizens, whether in Bahrain or abroad.
HRH the Prime Minister urged ambassadors to project the real image of the kingdom and its political development, democratic process, as well as progress and modernisation which covered all fields.
He also stressed that they should be sources of information for those seeking the truth and adopting accuracy and objectivity as an approach to counter the attempts of some sides to falsify facts and distort reality.
HRH Premier made the statements as he received at the Gudaibiya Palace today a number of newly-appointed Bahraini ambassadors to a number of friendly countries, in the presence of Foreign Affairs Ministers Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa.
They included the Bahraini ambassadors to the UK, Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, France, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdel Ghaffar, Belgium, Dr. Bahiya Jawad Al-Jishi and Russia, Ahmed Abderrahman Al-Saati.
HRH Premier congratulated the new ambassadors on their appointment, and praised their experience and competence, wishing them every success, and affirming the government’s support to them in assuming their diplomatic duties to enhance the kingdom’s cooperation relations with the friendly host countries.
The Kingdom boast of outstanding and strong relations with various countries of the world and its hands are always extended for cooperation with all within a framework of mutual respect and keenness to achieve common interests, he said, lauding the steady progress of Bahrain’s relations with the UK, France, Belgium and Russia and expressing unwavering desire to enhance them further.
HRH Premier requested the new ambassadors to convey his greetings to leaders and heads of governments of host countries, and his wishes of further progress and prosperity for their friendly peoples.
The newly-appointed ambassadors lauded HRH the Prime Minister’s support and interest in taking advantage of diplomacy to build balanced and strong relations with various countries.
They also praised the Premier’s keenness to provide Bahraini diplomats with all needed support so as to enable them to assume their duties in the best way.
