BCCI committee, NOGA discuss cooperation

Manama, Aug. 25 (BNA): Minister of Energy Abdul Hussain bin Ali Mirza received the Chairperson and Board Members of the Promotion, Exhibition & Conferences sector committee of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) Ahlam Yousif Janahi and an accompanying delegation. The Minister praised the delegation for their efforts in the field of promotion of conferences and events and for their supportive coordination with the government and private sectors. The meeting discussed ways of cooperation between the BCCI Committee and NOGA that has helped uphold the prestigious position of Bahrain at a regional and international level for hosting specialised events that improved the national economy. Janahi gave a presentation on promoting local, regional and international exhibitions and conferences for the advancement of the industry sector in Bahrain, stressing the defining role of the committee in providing suitable venues as per the plans and objectives of the events. Both the Chairperson and the delegation praised the Minister's efforts to support the promotion of exhibitions and conferences in the Kingdom and hailed the outstanding role of NOGA in attracting international oil and gas industry events, regional conferences and specialized global exhibitions. Ahmed Ali Al Sharyan, NOGA General Secretary and Ali A. Jabar Al Sawad, General Manager, Strategies and Planning, attended the meeting.
